The shock absorbing pad is made of overlapping flat nylon sewn together and covered with a plastic cover. When activated due to a fall the nylon thread breaks and the overlapping nylon releases to cushion the stop. Shock Absorbing Lanyards once activated should not be used again. 6 foot long.
