STANDARD FEATURES:
16" Wide by 16" Diameter solid steel drum (drum alone weighs 950 lbs.) with 12 double edge knives in staggered pattern. Produces small, fine chip - excellent for mulch. 10 ½" dia. x 22 ½" wide feed roller - Compacts brush, leaves, vines and hedge trimmings.
No dead area between roller and cutterhead for brush to accumulate. 12 rows of 1 ¼" high coarse teeth on roller to pull brush in.
3 position control bar on feed hopper - forward, neutral & reverse.
The Mitts & Merrill hydraulic system is also equipped with a feed roll control sensor. When this sensor is engaged and the RPM of the motor slows by 400 RPM’s or more (due to chipping 6" - 8" diameter logs), the sensor automatically stops the feed roller, until the engine returns to its normal RPM’s.
